We are a group of volunteers helping those in all of the villages around Oakham and Melton, and our service is free. More »

Things we can do:

  • Shopping
  • A friendly phone call
  • A chat over the garden fence
  • Pick up prescriptions
  • Help if you fall ill
  • A cooked meal
  • Any village events that we are able to run
  • Keeping people informed and up to date
  • Anything else you would like help with!

Please do not let strangers into your house or hand over any money for shopping unless you know they are one of our trusted volunteers. We are happy to provide photo identification for our volunteers and you must contact Hilary if you have any concerns whatsoever.

Temporary Road Closure - Somerby/Cold Overton

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

OAKHAM ROAD SOMERBY/SOMERBY ROAD COLD OVERTON

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders at the above locations.

Rolling road closures are required on Oakham Road and Somerby Road on the 17 More »

th February 2020 for 2 weeks.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety Leicestershire County Council can undertake carriageway surface repair work.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via:

Westmoor Lane Cold Overton, Cold Overton Road Langham, Melton Road Langham, Mount Pleasant Hill Whissendine, Oakham Road Leesthorpe, Pickwell Road Leesthorpe, Somerby Road Pickwell, Town End Somerby and vice versa.

Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during these works.
